ages 10 to 16 i lived at my local public library. that was my second home. it's tiny and old, as every other public space in tiny old cities tend to be. it probably hasn't updated their books since 2010. it grows only when people donate 3 books once every 10 years. but still: one of my favorite places on earth, i only have good memories there. it helped me discover so many worlds and it single-handedly got me into reading.  so you can imagine how happy i was when my little cousin (leader of the iPad kid generation) asked me to please take her there. we made a whole day out of it. it was so much fun and she loved looking around and touching every book. she is now an official member of the library ! !! a proper citizen.  imagine that ! a place full of books and social spaces for free. you can just go there and spend the whole day sitting around, reading, drawing, thinking, studying. for free !! you can even take books home with you ! for. free. we don't have enough save, comf...

i bought one of those weird swirly quill pens with liquid ink. i've been using it for writing mostly and sometimes doodling but only line art. today i decided to try to color with them and it was messy ! but fun. the vibes were great, i had fruit, the gremlins movie in the background and my heater on. (yes i was using ink on my bed, it could've been a disaster),     gremlins is so much fun, they don't make silly movies for the sake of it anymore. just a bunch of crazy little puppets destroying a city, its so violent for no reason too. the one with the gun ?? the mom brutally murdering like 4 of them as soon as they get born ?? when they shoot an old lady out of a window ??? ? when kate explains she hates christmas because her dad broke his neck trying to climb down the chimney as santa ?????? what even is this movie ?  we need more movies without a plot, just 1h 46 mins of pure mischief and a cute romance. anyways, these are the doodles i tried to color in, you can clear...

you are lonely we are so lonely so we imagine the impossible  to caress the sea or to eat a letter  or to kiss a lizard  you guys know gloria fuertes ? she's a spanish poet. i first knew of her when i was a kid and my mom bought me a book she wrote for kids. it was full of silly weird short rhymed stories, like calisto el calamar listo (calisto, the smart squid). i really loved that book, and i thought it was silly because it was for kids but then when i grew up and i got to read her adult poetry i realized it could also get silly, like besar un largarto (to kiss a lizard). 𓆉 ⋆.˚ 𓆝⋆.˚  to make my own home without roof nor hall like a tree  i don't usually enjoy poetry but i like hers, so i figured i would translate part of some of my favorites poems for you. maybe you can share your favorite poem with me ? so i can discover new poets. ༄˖°.🍂.ೃ࿔*:･ we came from the sea, we've been algae. are we even something now ?

truth is every time i get asked that, i'm confused. personally, i couldn't care less. i don't like any genre or i like them all ! what i like is a type of story , which could be any genre .  i enjoy character driven stories with lots of dialogues and interactions between characters. i love it when there's at least 4 main characters, to get to know them, to see them interact and grow. i love to re-watch, re-read and find new little details on the body language, the words, the touches, the background interactions. i love to get obsessed over tones, over never spoken words, thoughts, lingering looks, knowing looks, arms brushing, tiny choices like who sat next to who, who did they call first, looked at first, thought of first. what they're wearing. smiles. hands. aaaa (i'm getting giddy just thinking about it), and all that could exist on a thriller like super 8 (2011) or fear street 1994 (2021) but it can also exist on a queer mafia sport indie book like all...
