← this baby right here and i go way back. my grandpa thrifted this for me when i was like 4 y/o. nobody (not even me) knew i was gonna collect them later. so you could say he was the first of the collection. its one of those hard plastic toys that you can squish and the air goes out of them thru a hole and it makes a squeaky noise. love him ! (and yes he only has 1 nostril thats actually a marker stain someone drew on him)
i made a mushroom house out of wood and all of these ↑ very tiny frogs live in there 𓍊𓋼𓍊𓋼𓍊𓆏,, in order: a plastic jumpy frog i got on a surprise egg, an extremely tiny bright green frog i got on a pack of miniature animals i bought for a craft, a broken phone charm, my worst drawing to date: a very realistic handmade miniature frog i bought on a christmas market, (up) a frog from a play set my little brother used to have when we were kids, the frog that came with 2004 og baby yasmin (bratz), and a little trinket my mom got on a surprise egg when i wasnt even born ! (if you open its mouth it has a picture of my dad looking very very happy and young), its been on her trinket shelf forever but she gave it to me a few years ago.
← a plushie and the only pink frog i own (i much rather them to be green but i also looove anything with strawberries in it so). i hAd to get him and i did !! a few years back on a claire's clearance before it forever closed

← around two years ago i reconnected with a childhood friend because we started working at the same cafe ! turns out she is very into making rugs and she made me this cutie keychain using the rug technique so it looks really fun and textured :3

← now this BIG boy its actually the only frog thats not on my shelf but on my bed. hes sooo chonky. yet another childhood friend (i did lost contact with) randomly sent me a text last year asking me if i wanted to hang out, after almost ten years of no contact !! i said yes, of course. we went shopping and we found him. every other sanrio character was sold out. he is very much crosseyed and a little off for official merch. but i love weird

this cutie ! !! i thrifted at my favorite place on earth: the sunday second hand local market at my city. heaven. so cheap and fun and cozy,, shes kinda ugly and it does look haunted but i love her anyways <3 →
now these 2 i cant draw, not even badly. i wouldnt have been able to capture their whimsy. first one is a witch frog called asmodeus and my dad got it for me this christmas. the other one is a crochet frog my mom made for me months ago ↓

ReplyDeleteThese are incredible, and I love your depictions of them especially! My personal favourite is the Sylvanian family blind box one. My little sister had a huuuge frog hyperfixation a few years ago, so I'm very used to seeing shelves covered in frogs!
