the last stage of the alien plant (+ lizards)

Image
i've featured this alien plant in several of my posts now, let's see if i can find them all ( here , here and here ), i was walking my dog the other day and i saw her again ! she's all dry and dead, i guess it makes sense since it's 40ยบ outside, i figured i would take a photo and show you guys, so we can have a full circle moment         i honestly can't believe that's her ! she's been thru so much... she's literally just a stick now ! i will keep an eye out next spring to see if she comes back at that exact same spot or not.  and since i haven't post about nature and critters in a long time, let me just show you a compilation of lizards i've found these past few weeks,   terrible quality, as per usual, i still don't own a camera, but at this point i don't even care, this way they look like one of those bigfoot sightings, so they feel even more like critters, and not just a regular lizard.   also, i don't know if you can tell, but th...

spider-bag update !

Image
for a second there i thought i wasn't gonna have it in time for the new spider-man movie, but it's done ! (if you missed the first post about it, here ). bad news is one of the sellers told me they didn't feel like going to the post office just to send me a 1€ keychain, valid, but i was very sad to hear it because it was one of the key elements of the bag ! !! it was the long ulgy one, i love him so much, i hope i can find it again somewhere else :( without him the bag was missing something lowkey cursed and ulgly, so i decided to make one myself....  let's just say i hate a tutorial, i am a chapuzera art-and-crafter, i love me some low effort, fast craft, and i have no patience to watch a video on how to make shit, i will figure it out myself ! last time i made a beaded keychain, i was quite literally 10. my skills were very rusty but i took one look at this photo and thought: i can do that !   i think we can all agree danette mullen made this for people who already kn...

intentionally ugly

Image
there's a lot of ugly art around me, at my house. one of my first posts here was about my favorite ugly trinkets , if you're interested in looking at some of these ugly things i own.  many of my friends and family gift me their failed attempts at creating something beautiful. maybe they're trying to draw something cute and it turns out scary, they're coloring something and mistake a few colors so now it looks off, or they're sewing a plushie but it's their first time and it looks haunted. well they look at their monstrous art and instead of throwing it away, they think of me ! they think i would enjoy it, and so they give it to me.  they are right ! i love it ! !! ugly art actually speaks to me. i look at it and i feel this weird feeling, pretty things could never make me feel. i love them so much.  but last week, for the first time, someone created something for me, and they made it ugly on purpose. this piece of art is not a failed attempt to make something cu...

i got a 100€ fine and it saved me 3000€

Image
i've been driving for 10 years now, and this is my first ticket ever ! so yes, you better believe i decorated it, and will cherish her forever ! ! i reside and work in 2 different cities, both very tiny and very close to each other. it takes me around 20-30 minutes to travel from one to another by car, 45 min by train. in either case, from the train station or the parking spot, it takes me 20 minutes to get to the cafe i work at.  so there goes a whole hour (two, if you count getting back home) of my life i use for work without getting paid. not that i get paid that much anyways, it's well known all around the world, touristic countries exploit their waitresses. i work 8 hours a day, five days a week, for 600€ a month. you can try and do the math there to figure out how can i afford living like this, it doesn't add up.   it's been 2 years since i gave up on the train, we get 1 train per hour up until 10PM. that is, if i missed a train i had to wait for an hour for ...

little house on the prairie

Image
i was at work the other day and one of my coworkers said i looked like someone who would enjoy little house on the prairie ,  i told her i haven't watched it, but i used to really like heidi when i was a kid, and very much enjoyed anne with an e when it came out, since all of those seem so have similar vibes, she was probably right.  she then informed me there was a new version of the show, and she said i had to watch it, so i did. i was right to assume the show had the same vibes as heidi and anne, and so she was right to assume i looked like someone who would enjoy it.  i loved it. there's something so cozy about being a little girl, different, brave and a bit weird, living in the most gorgeous place, in an era where everything was soooo dramatic, and so difficult, specially for an open minded, adventurous woman.    the show itself is just pretty to look at, and the story is all about drama, love, the perks of community, and the ugly parts of society. i...

rating more movies !

Image
i'm not a movie guy, i would say is my least favorite type of way to present a story, but i still watch at least a few every other month, these are the ones i watched june-july (so far) and how i liked them: VOICEMAILS FOR ISABELLE (2026):  ☆☆ ☆ you already know i'm always looking for a good romcom, and this time i found it ! it was cute, funny, and i even cried a little !! i just love love so much y'all, specially in its peak form: best friends ! of course the romance was nice too, but most of those stars are for the sisters, the friendships, and the slice of life little moments that make the movie so much more beautiful, that if it was just about romance. also,   «sometimes life rigs things in our favor» , is such a nice quote, i really like the idea of luck and the universe wanting something for you, and that summarizes that feeling in a very cute easy way.    MINECRAFT (2025):  ☆☆   it was fun, silly and very kidcore, i understand now why my little cous...

spider-bag

Image
i've been wanting to build a spider-man themed bag for so long, but i could never find the perfect red bag, they were always either ugly or too expensive.  i downloaded vinted to try and sell a few of my kpop albums and while browsing i found the cutest bag ever, and for 5€ ! then i also bought these 2 charms for it (1€ each). i love weird looking plushies so bad, i don't know why i find it so cute when things are a little ugly.   i also bought one of these on aliexpress, you can use it to personalize your own pin, but you can open it and change the picture as many times as you want. i bought the biggest one, 75 mm, and i am planing to put that iconic photo of emma stone and using it as a charm for the bag as well,   i'm excited to add the little trinkets i already have at home too, like a little spider-man pouch, and a spider-lego keychain. maybe i would have even more by the time the bag arrives, since i'm always buying silly little spider-man merch i find in the wild...

trinkets i think are best friends so i keep them next to each other

doesn't matter how many times a rearrange the stuff in my room, these will always be next to each other,    ˖°.♡︎ oolong and trufo are 2 tiny figurines i bought on a street flea market, they're named after my dog and my friend's cat, because they look exactly like them.  ˖°.♡︎ i've had lady since i'm a kid, he was a birthday present. bug came to my life less than year ago, my little cousin brought it home and forgot her in my room, i told her but she said she looked so happy next to lady, she couldn't take her back.    ˖°.♡︎ just 2 completely normal regular snails, not a single baby cat playing dressed up in sight. my friend gifted me the brown one as a souvenir form portugal. i got the yellow one in a blid box.    ˖°.♡︎  the great vibes duo were 2 different gifts from the same aunt. the green one she gave me at least 15 years ago, he's suppose to represent hope. the pink one i got 2 years ago, she's suppose to represent happiness. good vibes over...

robot dating simulator

i've been playing a videogame called palia with some friends, we live very far away from each other, and in an attempt to keep in touch we all downloaded a silly little free game to hang out there.  it's an open world gacha type of game, you get a little farm and you have to collect things and do a bunch do quests to get stuff to decorate your house and your garden, it's super fun ! and very focused on community and playing with others, which is the main reason we downloaded it.  of course you can have much cooler things and the cutest outfits if you pay for them, but the experience of playing for free is also very satisfying and cool, you get to interact with all the same characters, be part of the same events and quests, built pretty things, and you can definitely manage to get your hands on a few cute hats.  we've been having tons of fun together and on our own, we didn't expect to play the game outside of our hang outs but we all did ! that's how much we lik...
