new art supplies adventures ✐ᝰ.ᐟ

i bought one of those weird swirly quill pens with liquid ink. i've been using it for writing mostly and sometimes doodling but only line art. today i decided to try to color with them and it was messy ! but fun. the vibes were great, i had fruit, the gremlins movie in the background and my heater on. (yes i was using ink on my bed, it could've been a disaster),

 

 

gremlins is so much fun, they don't make silly movies for the sake of it anymore. just a bunch of crazy little puppets destroying a city, its so violent for no reason too. the one with the gun ?? the mom brutally murdering like 4 of them as soon as they get born ?? when they shoot an old lady out of a window ??? ? when kate explains she hates christmas because her dad broke his neck trying to climb down the chimney as santa ?????? what even is this movie ?  we need more movies without a plot, just 1h 46 mins of pure mischief and a cute romance.

anyways, these are the doodles i tried to color in, you can clearly see i did a terrible job but you can also see improvement ! i bet you can guess what i colored in last. i still think it looks kinda cool, except maybe the frog, that one is soooo bad.

i still haven't figured out the way of using them without making a mess, my hands always end up looking like that. i love trying new types of painting ! tho my favorite will always be ceras duras, i'm not sure what's the correct term in english. it's something in between a crayon and a pencil. it's harder than a crayon but softer than a pencil. the literal translation would be hard wax ? maybe ? idk but to me the crayola style are crayons and i don't like those. i like the bic plastidecor type, that's a CERA. i lOve them. but enough about ceras, this is the type of quill i used for the drawing, 

 it's a lot of fun and very pretty, i recommend trying it out ⋆ ˚｡⋆୨୧ ⁺˚⋆｡°✩₊
