what's on my trinket shelf (6/?): grumpy care bear
at one of the many many stores we went into, and failed to find the robe, i saw this:
it is my smallest collection, but also one of my favorites, and i hope it will keep growing with time.
one of my favorite things about them is the little heart detail on the butt,
the main reason why the collection is small is because i am very picky, and also i only buy them if i find them organically, i never go out looking for care bears, nor have i ever bought one online. these were all from the flea market, miniso, aldi (yes, the supermarket) and a christmas present.
you probably already know but we've been remaking versions of the care bears since like 1980, so there's an insane amount of different artworks with very different styles, all of them canon and official, and i love them all.
i would love to have one of each version, or at least only get new ones if they are completely different from the ones i already have, so the collection looks interesting, i don't really see the appeal of having a bunch of toys that look exactly the same.
there's also several versions of the art tummy, i would really enjoy it if i could get a few other ones for my collection with tummy arts i still don't have,
we'll see what the collection looks like in a few years from now, i might even add lucky bear to it, he's one of my favorites as well, green is my favorite color, and i do have a special relationship with the concept of luck, so i feel really sad every time i see him out there and leave him behind just because he's not grumpy.
i also love oopsy bear (he's also green, and his concept and story are really cool) but there's essentially no merch of him so i couldn't collect him even if i wanted to.
what's your favorite bear ? i feel like that would tell me about you more than the horoscope hehe
read about the bears ! they're so cute,
