i've been cleaning my pc for space these days, and i've found a folder with a bunch of old scans of my sketchbooks, i felt like sharing my favorite doodles,
i'm usually not the biggest fan of my own art, but some pieces i have so much fun making, i can't help to look at them with love, and this is one of those. the combination of shrek and all the silly stickers + what looks like a girly version of scara singing the lyrics to one of my favorite songs by aespa, it just makes me happy, i can feel i was having a good day when i drew it.
all of these are from a tiny notebook with terrible paper i used to keep in my bag to draw while on the train, i think they look fun, they for sure made the train ride feel shorter.
that is a silly doodle i made just to try the POSCA markers i got, i remember i was dying to try them, and they were super expensive, but i didn't like them. i don't think i ever used them again. they look so satisfying and cool on the videos, i thought i would enjoy them. but they're messy, i hate having to wait for the ink to come out, and the tip against the paper feels icky. i can just color with my regular markers or actual acrylic paint and it will look better any ways, and it's way cheaper too ! !!!
the lettering is referencing part of a quote by dean from supernatural:"Well, I'll say it again. Demons I get. People are crazy"
and this is me jumping in the middle of the forest, i drew a little happy star on my face and wrote all this ?! just for me ?! on top, i was trying to imitate a drawing by one of my favorite artists, Anna-Laura Sullivan (@annalauraart).
that's the original piece by Anna, i related to it so much i had to make it real. i think the version i made looks very nice, and i had sooo much fun taking the photos with my mom, it's a great memory.
