what's on my trinket shelf (4/?): strawberries

it's strawberry season ! not for much longer tho, summer is already very close, watermelon is about to take her place...... before the season is over let me show you all my strawberry trinkets ! 

first ! my bed:

 

imagelots and lots of strawberry themed and shaped cushions and blankets 

image2 little ceramic containers: one shaped liked a strawberry, the other like a strawberry jam jar. they used to be candles, now they hold a little creature each !

 

image4 ! trinket dishes. 3 of them are shaped like a strawberry: 1 (very round) is full of painted rocks; 2 (very strawberry like) is full of pills and dry plants; 3 (handmade and very wobbly) is full of rings and 2 littlest pet shop game coins. the other (4) is a tiny tin bucket, full of my hello kitty collection and 2 sticks.

and just to end on a interactive note: would you like to solve one of these with me ? i've been obsessed lately,,
 

you're suppose to solve the word soup (that's a direct translation from spanish and probably wrong, but you get it). there's some words you're not gonna find: those you need to put somewhere as the killer, the weapon or the location. the one (or two) you can't solve this way: you have to write down all the letters you didn't use in the soup and find the hidden word (killer, weapon and/or location).

public library, my beloved

ages 10 to 16 i lived at my local public library. that was my second home. it's tiny and old, as every other public space in tiny old cities tend to be. it probably hasn't updated their books since 2010. it grows only when people donate 3 books once every 10 years. but still: one of my favorite places on earth, i only have good memories there. it helped me discover so many worlds and it single-handedly got me into reading.  so you can imagine how happy i was when my little cousin (leader of the iPad kid generation) asked me to please take her there. we made a whole day out of it. it was so much fun and she loved looking around and touching every book. she is now an official member of the library ! !! a proper citizen.  imagine that ! a place full of books and social spaces for free. you can just go there and spend the whole day sitting around, reading, drawing, thinking, studying. for free !! you can even take books home with you ! for. free. we don't have enough save, comf...
