shitty camera review
idk if you've read me cry about the terrible photos my phone takes, but i decided to buy a camera. two seconds into looking cameras i realized i can't afford a camera, so i started looking for kids cameras, they're very cheap because they're essentially toys.

| ☆☆ - don't buy unless you're a kid |
i take silly photos of silly things, i don't need a professional camera to take a photo of a tree, i just need a camera. my main problems with my phone are: (1) doesn't focus when i try to take a close up, (2) doesn't focus if i zoom in and (3) it takes my phone 5 business days to open up the gallery app. so i figured a 20€ camera could fix those problems.
it doesn't.
i spent an afternoon with the camera and no, it won't focus when i try to take a close up. no, it doesn't focus if i zoom in. and even if it opens the gallery very fast, its issue is actually worse: it has like a whole 3h delay between pushing the button and actually taking the photo.
so now i have a worse camera than my phone camera + i'm 20€ poorer. not for long tho, i already started the refund process, i just have to take it to SEUR and i will get my money back ! but before, i figured i would share with you the terrible pictures it took.
not gonna lie i am a lover of low quality photos, which is why i didn't mind a shitty camera. i wouldn't had mind if its only problem was low quality pictures, but i can't capture critters if it doesn't focus up close or zooming it !

Cheap filth cameras are so interesting. I wonder if you could get like an old Sony Cybershot or something - I loved using that line of cameras like 15 years ago. But I guess that sort of tech is getting to be a bit retro popular so prices can creep up on it.
ReplyDeletethey are ! i was telling my friend it was kinda crazy a piece of cheap plastic could actually take photos, made me realize technology makes no sense.
Deleteand yes, i've been looking and i figured if i want a camera that actually works im gonna have to save up a little and pay 70€ minimum :(
boop ππΆ i have a very old phone and also started having problems with its camera, so for a couple of years I'm carrying Canon Powershot with me. it's pretty good for what it is and it fits in a pocket. but i didn't buy it now, i kept it from like 2012. they've probably gone up in price since these old digital cams started trending...
ReplyDeletemy dog loves a good boop, i will give him one in your name.
Deleteyou know what bothers me the most is that my old camera has to be somewhere in my house and i cant find it !!
