fruit art

i was reading this really cool post the other day and it inspired me to share my own fruit stickers collection, so here we go !

when i was a kid, i got a Wreck This Journal for my 2015 birthday. if you know me, you would think anything creative and crafty would be a great present for me, but i actually didn't enjoy this book as much as i expected. turns out i don't enjoy prompts at all, i much rather do my own thing. BUT ! it had a page where they asked you to collect fruit stickers. and i had so much fun with that one. that's how i got obsessed with them.

first fruit collection: 2015

gonna get vulnerable for a second here, not gonna lie to yall, the years i spend at college, i kinda lost my whimsy. i didn't journal as much (or at all). those years were a really bad time for me mentally, so let's skip them !

i finished my career around 2018 and on 2022 i started journaling for real again. finally, on september 2023,  first page of my new journal: i decided to draw these 2 little orange critters adding 2 really cute fruit stickers. and that jump-started my second fruit collection:

second fruit collection: 2023

i decided right there i will forever fill 1 page of every single junk journal i start. here's the one i just finished (start july, 26: 2024 | end february, 5: 2026). yes, it takes me thAt long to finish a journal.

3rd fruit collection: 2024-2026

and this, is the one i just started. with a little twist, i want to fill 2 pages this time but 1 is gonna be just the sticker of my favorite fruit: the golden apples from my local fruit store.

current fruit collection: 2026

while i was at it, i decided to check out the instagram acc (@ fruit_stickers) op from the post i mentioned at the beginning wrote about and it's so cool ! these are my personal favorites:

it was super fun to scroll and find ones i actually have on my collection, i recommend it if you also collect fruit stickers or if you enjoy cool tiny art.

so in conclusion,

eat fruit, collect stickers !

delicious and fun
